Getting wet for the first time. Lanched 1975 (?)from Bangor Shipyard into Ballyholme Bay
for Ronald Thompson to fish out of Portavogie.
Heard she went to Scotland and had a whaleback fitted. Possibly changed her name at the same time.
Still around anyone?

I am sure that this is the same vessel I was onboard, late 80's,she had a full shelterdeck, and was pair trawling with another vessel of similar size, the Harvester.

Your right Ian, but I'm still trying to find out who built the Fragrant Cloud II. Thought my post might throw something up.
Alan.

I can confirm Bangor. As soon as I saw the "Y" on the foremast holding the Arials I knew I had helped build her. Sparkling Wave and Xmas Star all had my "signature".
Last saw Xmas Star in Kilkeel around eight years ago. The boys took great pride in their work and the standard of planking was the same to the last when the yard closed in 1991.A lost skill now, the adze is dead!

Wully, Liam, and Kelpie.
Many thanks for FCII's place and date of build.
