Pure class Phil. What a ship of contrasts the way they added that square box like funnel beyond a timber fronted wheelhouse like that!

Yes, I've a feeling though that the funnel isn't the original. . Somewhere in my dim and distant memory I have a recollection of a much shorter funnel more suited to a ship of her time.

Still in service late 70s no more info after that
Sailed on her in the late sixties meet a friend of mine in the Queens Hotel in Grangemouth who was crew member asked me if i was looking for a job spoke to the capain went home got my gear and sailed four hours later who needs the Pool good crowd the Captain came from Brixham cant remember his name

i can remember her from the early 70's when she came to plymouth i was with my dad who was the boatman we moored her cattedown wrf.
the cpt on her then was a freind of my dad his name is Jimmy Monroe
