"John Mackay"

Built 1922 by Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardson Ltd
4,064 gross tonnage. Twin screw, triple expansion.

The layout of this vessel is very similar to the "Faraday (2)" the two vessels being launched within a few weeks of each other.
The boilers and engines are located aft with four cable tanks forward of the main machinery space and their total capacity is 50,000 c/f.

Grear pic Phil, thanks.

She lasted 76 years, but sadly arrived at Aliaga for breaking on 25th March 1994

You need only two tools, a hammer and duct tape.
If it doesn't move and it should, use the hammer.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.
