A 10662 grt motor ship built by Blythswood Shipyard, Glasgow and engined by Hawthorn Leslie for Greek owners. The last dry cargo ship built by Blythswood before closure. Sold in 1979 renamed Athena. Broken up 1984.
Pictured in final stages of fitting out at Finnieston Quay, Glasgow. The Finnieston hammerhead crane to right of picture is one of the few reminders of Clyde shipping

Great photo. Remember her vaguely. Take it you have seen the area around the crane nowadays. Unrecognisable.

I think to remember that she had a sister NORTH EMPRESS with little difference
in the cabin superstructure. Nice ship.
