A 19,000 dwt steam tanker built in 1960 by Alex Stephen, Linthouse for the British Flag Mobil Shipping Co. a subsidiary of Socony Mobil - the "Flying Donkey" company (Pegasus). An identical sister ship Mobil Acme was built by the same yard. Photo taken during final fitting out in Queens Dock, Glasgow. A facility used frequently by Stephen when their river front fitting out berth was occupied. These ships had an unusual purple upperworks.

You have answered my question about their upperworks which I asked when I posted her trials pic some time ago. Thanks for that. Remember thinking that it was an undercoat!
