A view of the Diorama taken some nine months ago, there's been quite a lot more added since this photo was taken. At the moment, I'm contemplating breaking through into next door, I wonder if they'll notice! There's a Steam Boat on the far right of the scene, I hope to show better pictures of this boat soon.

Absolutely fantastic work, any chance of a pic of you, or somebody stood next to the model, so we can get some kind of perspective as to the scale of the whole thing.

I'm sorry; but I just can think of a superlative that aptly describes this magnificent work. This isn't talent; its genius.

If you came through my loft, Beaches, I would herald the intrusion with a fanfare, break out the champagne and welcome you with open arms...without doubt it, and you would be the most welcome visitation to my household since the birth of my two children.

Thanks for all your kind remarks, the scale is - a mixture of H.O and OO in railway modelling terms but there's also lots of figures at 72 scale giving a variety of sizes of people. Regarding that lady next door, my pal, she doesn't know but
I'm part way through the wall!

Perhaps lacking the room to expand, you could paint an in-depth backdrop on the wall, extending the diorama visually but not physically- hard to make it blend, but it looks like what you have so far was pretty hard, too. Wonderful job! Great feel for scale and local waterfront activity- there is little need for the "suspension of disbelief" which is so often necessary with dioramas.

Good to see ship models set out in an accurate and believable scene such as this. It allows for a completely different but equally good appreciation of them, to seeing them displayed as stand alone work.
