Very nice ship this cargo vessel built by Bartram & Sons
ltd Sunderland in 1962 for Court Line,9,662 g.t.she was an open shelterdeck type with scantling for closer shelt.
the machinery was been placed somewhat further aft than unusual in this type of vessel and lies betw. Nos 4 and 5 hold.She became CYCLOPUS and i suppose finnally scrappd beg 80s.

As you say nice vessel & unique looking, engines in the sometime called 3/4 aft position, 499` x 63` speed 15 kn. Bought by Turnbull & Scott Shipping Co. in 1963 & re-named Southgate. Sold 1970 & re-named Gela, sorry no further details.

1984 renamed "Cyclopus", 1986 sold Chinese breakers and sailed Hong Kong 20 June to breakers.
