Living proof that a bit of hard work does nobody any harm, but how many of the 50 years did it take to get the coal,or whatever, out of your pores ?

Great to see friendship lasting all those years. Did your lives take different paths and now you meet up again, or have you remained in close contact over the years? Anyway, nice to see!

Absolutely wonderfull pair of photos and blokes .... many thanks Vic both are in my collection ...if only we had a few more like that ....

The photo of you two as apprentices could be applied whether on tankers or cargo ships there were plenty of jobs on both types where we all ended up as you two were in the photo.

I agree with dab .... can we have more as to what happened in the years between and how the pair of you have met up ...

Trevor did not complete his Apprenticeship but joined the army and had a successful career in electronics and IT. Now retired in Berkshire
Vic stayed at sea (apart from a stint ashore for a few years as a "Careers Officer")
and made contact with Trevor through "Friends Reunited. Now retired in Wigtownshire.
