I'm interested to see who's likely to get their cabin searched and why! (Read the graffitti)

Coastie,

I was wondering about that too - what is the first part of the message? All you can see is "..... or I will search your cabin".

Perhaps we should have a competition to guess the first part of the message.

My guess is "You'd better tell me where you have hidden my inflatable sheep ...."

(Sorry Harry - lowering the tone as usual - this is an interesting picture like the half-boats you posted at Holy Island. I also saw some strange uses of vessels at Dungeness in Kent years ago and will get to my pictures of them some time in the next year or so as I continue to dig through 30 odd years of photos.)

Brian.

In Shetland, it's not unusual to see boats which have been upturned and used as shed/garage roofs. Maybe others do it too. Will try and remember to get a picture of one very good one next time I'm in Lerwick, it's still got it's side number on! (Wonder if it's still registered??!! LOL)

The south gare is quite remote, there has been a lot of theft from boats over the years and sometimes it turns out to be fellow fishermen, as well as the boat/cabin you can see there is about another 15/20 more cabins along the small banks, the graffiti reads, return my gear box or I will search your cabin, indicating they know who stole it!!!!!!!!!

Mike.

Thanks for clearing that up! I wonder if they DID get their gearbox back?!
