1958-built cargo ship built by William Hamilton and Company Limited for T. and J. Brocklebank. Propulsion by two steam turbines, GRT 8,744


On board equipment by G and J Weir of Glasgow. The photo was rescued from old Company archives that were being 'skipped' some 20 years ago. (Original photographer unknown)

Another of my old cruise liners. I did two trips on Mawana as apprentice, followed by a coastal - my first job as third mate. I can't make out the flag flown at the truck. Builder's own house flag perhaps?
