MUSA built in 1930 by Workman, Clark for United Fruit. Originally under the British flag, then Panama and finally, Honduras. Seen here in Elders & Fyffes colours, sailing from Avonmouth in July 1966. She survived until 1969 when she was broken up in Inchon

Musa was managed by Empresa Hondurena de Vapores of Honduras (like Elders and Fyffes a subsidiary of United Fruit Company) since 1947. It is under that country's flag that she is shown. The Empresa funnel colours were a deeper shade of "buff" than those of Fyffes.

An excellent photograph that captures her elegant lines and trim ptofile perfectly.
