Colombo Harbour. When only top masts were visible from seaward over the sheds on Queen Elizabeth quay, so was Maipura's funnel. Reputed to have an extra 14 feet added after the maiden voyage. First post war Brocklebank building without the bridge deck cargo hatch.

she had this extra 14 feet to funnel as the smoke was going in the crews quarters

Can anyone identified the G/C anchored behind MAIPURA ? possible she is the
ELPIDA built 1956 who changed name in 1969 from AMSTELMEER ?
