She was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, St. Nazaire as the 'Renaissance' for the Cie. Francaise de Navigation, Marseille, a subsidiary of Nouvelle Cie. de Paquebots. Launched in December, 1965, she was delivered in May of the following year for the Marseille to Haifa route and cruising.
She went to Nouvelle Cie. de Paquebots in 1970.
Sold to Epirotiki Lines in 1977 and renamed 'Homeric Renaissance'.
Since then she's been the 'World Renaissance' on charter to Costa, 'Awani Dream' on charter to Club Awani before going to Royal Olympic Cruises as the 'World Renaissance.
Renamed 'Grand Victoria' in 2005 when bought at auction by Elysian Cruises, Panama.

11,724GT, 492' x 69', twin screw, B&W type diesels, 18 knots.
414 passengers (as built)
