I think the Pilot's bar was longer with no corner, and the fridge was under the bar. (So was I).

[edit] Hang on - it was only Pilot's bar that was re-built. Looking at other photos (of Marshal's bar) - it was still the very small corner one, in light wood?)

You're right. It was in the corner, up until Oct '80, at least. I blame the photographer for the stupid angle.

This is the Norse Marshals bar I did the first voyage from Oslo where cardecks were fitted the captain was Glassop the mate was Phil Collins 2nd mate Brian Kelly third mate Ian Hards Chief Engineer was Bob Wilson who had his wife Christine with him I was the R/O and I made the bar stool
thats how I know its the Norse Marshal and the fridge at the side. It was a happy time sad to hear of her end as mv Paris having been washed up against the breakwater in Constanza with the loss of all hands regards to all = Andy Forbes +
