My neighbour Jim acquired a berth at Stranraer Marina so we moved the NIPPY SWEETY from KBT Marina to Stranraer. This is me getting a fix with a hand-bearing compass from the Scares and the Mull of Galloway

Leave Kirkcubright for Stranraer ?? Not for the scenery so it must be for more sheltered waters and fair weather sailing ! One of my regrets is leaving the Kirkcudbright/Castle Douglas area and hills and lochs of Galloway.
Pleasant sailing in your new berth,
Crawford.

My neighbour, Jim, only had a buoy berth at KBT and was offered a pontoon berth at Stranraer, besides Stranraer is more convenient for Newton Stewart where we stay.

Point taken. Walk aboard at any state of the tide must be a big bonus and not worrying about the tidal drop as well. When I left Kbt. there were no yachts never mind berths, just fshing boats and a creamery.

I wondered where Nippy had gone. Hope she is happy in her new berth.
