This is a model of the WINCHESTER CASTLE which I completed recently. It was built to a scale of 31'=1".

Nice model Bob! I wish some of these 'waterline' model companies produce some of these great ships instead of the same old war ships of WW2. I am sure they will do very well!

Cheers

A wonderful memory for me as I did my very first voyage on a ship with my mother departing Cape Town 01 July 1960.This was the Winchesters second last voyage before she was sent to the breakers. I can still remember her very ornate lounges and punka louvre type air 'conditioning'. A far cry from my latest trip this last July on Arcadia.

A beautiful model at a nice scale. I also like to scratch-build and am intrigued by your handrails which are easy at 1/96 but extremely difficult at 1/372. Care to share your secret? You do fantastic work and long may it continue.

Kind regards
P Bryant
