SWARFEGA the engineers best friend. Started using it as an apprentice fitter, gentler than soft soap and sand, but out of your own pocket. Took it to sea too.

Note the lack of Ship Management Files and Checklist Records in the bookshelf. Todays C/O's need about 3 times that shelf space for paperwork.
But somehow we managed pretty well without all that paperwork.

I think most people make Chief Officer by the time they are 28/29
