Have'nt yet found any pics of BP's "bird" class tankers on this site so here is BP's British Kestrel in August 1968 discharging at Gefle, Sweden.
They roamed the world with products, even visiting Pitcairn Island. An ideal size to see the world. I was on British Kiwi twice! Sorry about the grainy image ,but the best so far after much photoediting!

I posted a photo of the Trust in the "Life on board" gallery in Grangemouth. It is entitled "Like pulling teeth" on page 9 or 10 & shows the Trust losing a piston at Grangemouth.
I'm away from home at the moment where I have a couple of photos of the Trust & the Gannet (my first ship as 3rd Mate) which I'll post next week when I get back.
Went to Gavle (?) a few times but never ventured ashore there. Too bloody cold!

Have seen a few spellings but yours looks good - the anglicised one! We were there in Summer - beautiful. They were smart business-like little ships with good accomm. Some such as Kestrel had single stump mast forward. Think Kiwi had goalposts with derricks for cargo work such as handling lub oil in drums for remote ports.
