Which is about 17 miles from Das. 5 crew lost, broke in two while being refloated. Was she the former "O. B. Sorensen" built by Sir James Laing & Sons at Sunderland in 1956?

Yes Dave, she was. ID No.5259620, O.B.Sorensen Launched 17.10.1955 by Sir James Laing & Sons Ltd., Sunderland, Yard No. 806. Completed May 1956 for Smith Sorensens Tankrederi A/S. DWT 28,240, LOA 631' 1", Breadth 79' 0", Draught 35' 2". 6 cyl 2 S.C.S.A. Doxford oil engine by William Doxford & Sons Ltd.; 7,750 bhp @ 103 rpm, 13.5 knots. 1974 sold to Uller Shipping Co. (Pte.) Ltd. (Norse Management Co.(Pte.) Ltd., Singapore) and renamed Cherry Duke.
