Any idea what and where they are...the one in full view seems to have its sun shelters up, would be quiet an impressive shot if larger

NOTES SENT BY PETERHAMB
Have been going through my books to identify the ships in the photo for you. It was taken by my late farther, who was a Royal Marine based in Malta. He did not mark the photos, so I had to find out my self, using my ships guide book of the period.
The ships seem to be all frigates with the exception of the last one, which seems to be a 'Manxman' type fast mine layer. Starting from right to left, the first is a Black Swan type frigate, followed by a 'Loch', an unidentied one, another 'Loch' then what seems to be a few 'Bay' class frigates.
