By the look of her she was a sister of the Kaiser ships 'Trentwood', 'Gene Trefethen' and 'Elwood Mead'.

Having visited both Meynell and Elwood Mead, Elwood Mead was the ecconomy version.

Wouldn't it be nice if, when they build a ship -- and it looks good like this -- they didn't put smelly dirty cargos in and just keep them -- like paintings?

Just taking them out occasionally on a nice day for a run along the coast.

Cheers -- from Ken in the NE of England.

Hi Tom & Kelso,

I sailed on her in 1980 from Japan to Oz and back.
First job after stepping off plane was fix both radars!
Anyway, we sailed with one and a half!
