billyboy bit of info for you;220 tons , Crew of 32
44 metres long,
8 metre beam
2 metre draught
3 Proteus Gas Turbines
2 Paxman diesels
She managed in excess of 40 knots on GT ,diesels were used for speeds below 16 knots, she was designed for Exocet but was unarmed until `78 when she had a 40mm bofor fitted. She spent time on fishery protection and also anti-terrorist work in N.Ireland.Think she was sold to a private buyer in`85 and whist being converted into Gin Palace in `95 there was a fire which turned her into scrap.

I think it was the TENACITY I saw many years ago when new acting as guard ship for the "Round Isle of Wight" power boat race. She led the paricipants out of the Solent heading east and when they arrived back from the west, she was still out in front.
