My father, George Muir, as a Deck Apprentice in "Benattow" with yet another police dog for the East. According to his Discharge Book this would have been taken some time in 1950 or 51.
Ben Line acquired "Benattow" in 1950 from Paddy Hendersons who had her built in 1943 as "Pegu".

Aye Roy, a good photo of your father, nice to have. I had not realised that the Benline carried so many Alsatians out to the Far East for the police. Thankfully I was never on the receiving end of any of them :-)

He would have been 18 or 19 Eric.
