Stapleford Park ceased operations as a theme park in 1982 and the boats were scrapped sometime after that. Northern Star therefore outlasted the full scale original, but the full scale Southern Cross outlasted her small sister.
They were not models Alan, they were licienced to carry approx. 10 passengers each on the lake.
The Minature Railway still exists and is open to the public for limited periods in the summer.

Interesting. I read that Lord Gretton owner of the Park had been on a cruise on Southern Cross which explains why he chose these two vessels.
