The 1951 Swedish Lloyd newbuilding PATRICIA meets London at Tower Bridge for the first time. PATRICIA of 1951 served the Göteborg to Tilbury line in the 1950's and was sold some years later in the end of 1950's to Germany.

I took a two-night cruise to the Bahamas from Miami on this ship in July, 1973. Her name was FREEPORT II at the time. She was rather charming, with lots of wood veneers inside. A swimming pool had been installed in the well forward of the bridge.

Swedish Lloyd was well-known for their high style on board interiors on their North Sea and Sea(Bay) of Biscay liners, which most often were called "small Transatlantic liners", of the Swedish owned sistercompany Swedish American Line (SAL).
