A photograph taken by Jo Dashwood-Howard of Austin the 3rd Mate on Brocklebank's SS Matra 11.
At the time Jo was 4th Mate and this was his first trip on Matra for a voyage Middlesro' - Colombo - Calcutta - USA - Liverpool between 23 November and 2 April 1935.
Matra 11 was built in 1926 and was to be an early war loss when she was mined and sunk off Ramsgate in 1939.
