Merchant Navy class Railway locomotive - Canadian Pacific.
At Brockenhurst Station in about 1999/2000
Brockenhurst is just a short way down the line From Southampton but unfortunatly I was unable to get there in time to get it in a more nautical environment.

Ah! one of Mr Bullieds fine "merchant navy" class locos. certainly a favourite of mine. as were the 'west country class and battle of brittain classes" absolutlt splendid machines to work a train with. (wonder if thats why i have back pains these days?) un common to see one in Blur livery though!

It's not even a "Blue Flue".... so it is must be touch and go if it can remain, but then there are clear signs of taking on Fresh Water, and for the moderators, a nice blue seat, so I guess you may escape. (Jester)

Had relatives who lived beside the LSW main line at Surbiton so was fully indoctrinated with Bulleid Pacifics and other Southern locos. Many memories of runs behind various members of both MN and WC/BBs to and from Southampton on train/ship spotting trips. Best of both worlds!!
