The vessel behind her looks interesting, any idea's. There was an ex American Military LSI type vessel doing survey work in the North Sea looking for North Sea Oil before the oil boom.

Thanks John, any idea's on what looks to be a Foreign Navy vessel. She may have been doing a courtesy visit or she is ex Military. Just can't make out the Ensign or what appears to be a name/number.

Could that be the bow of the Explorer on the right?
Anyone know what happened to the Presevation Society as I can't raise them. The Explorer is still in Leith.

It is more like the old "Scotia,s" bow but they were always well painted in those days. There was also a French trawler lay in the Upper Dock a long time.
