Wrong story Pat, she was disguised as an island. Traveling at night and anchoring during daytime. Changing (refreshing) her disguis every early morning with new trees and leaves from the jungle and staying for the rest of the day anchored, going up in the ever green background. During her stay she was passed several times by Jap warships, but they never saw her. Finally she made it to Australia and served out the war. When she was decommissioned she passed to the "Sea cadet core", and that was were Japottinger saw her. At the end, the sea cadets wanted a more modern ship and they returned the "Crijnsen" to the Navy, in a perfect state, so the navy decided to put her up for display at the Navy museum in Den Helder. To get there she had to be towed trough the small canal thats surounding the old navy dockyard, passing a 90 degree angle in the canal. She was too long to come trough, so they cut away 2 m of her hek, made the turn and replaced the part. When walking onboard its hard to immagene how the crew could live for so long on such a small place.
