Actually been on her, nice looking vessel, a certain flair in the design I feel.

when i was 10 my parents took us to italy for a holiday on marconi and we passed this ship at sea and the captains took the ships close together for the passengers tosee

She is a beautiful looking ship, is she still around, or did she end up on a beach?

I was a pax in 1953 from Dar Es Salam to Venice. Can't really remember much as I was only 4 at the time. But my Mother still talks about her today.
I think it was one of the many cruises she really loved.

I took this ship from Mogadishu to Italy two times. Africa's breaking up at Kaohsiung in 1980.
The similar Victoria, renamed Anastasis, was registered as Mercy Ship, in 1990.

AFRICA was sold in 1976 by LLOYD TRIESTINO and renamed PROTEA.
scraped in 1980
