Oz, I'd have to say she is a lot prettier than your other photo of the two floating roadways

She was a pretty ship Derek, and lets face it, anything is prettier than the roadways. I believe, but cant confirm, that Akuna was a German Government ship in New Guinea waters, captured and taken over by The Australian Navy. We also got the beautiful Synan, which was used as a Customs launch in Melbourne in my younger days. Would love to get a photo of Synan and where it went. She was a timber boat, around 50 / 60 feet long, powered by a Werkspoor engine ( I'm not absolutely sure of that ) and worked out of Williamstown. I polished a lot of brass to get rides on Synan !
