Fascinating shot . Is that Sisal on those barges ? Gem Line were a good company. High standards (Thumb)

Thanks for posting Cranfield. The Amethyst was one of my old ships and we did a couple of trips to Bristol in 1965 with bales of paper pulp from Norway. We spent nearly a month there one trip being caught up in a dock strike. We eventually got discharged and loaded coke there for Lisbon.
Stumps, I think the cargo on the barge could be the paper pulp that we had discharged.

Thanks for that Trader , yes, now looking at it , more closely, it does look like Pulp. Plenty of it too.
