The photo was taken near the entrance of the Maritime Museum Liverpool it depicts the anchor from HMS Conway. Sadly this vessel was wrecked during a towing operation in the Menai Straits as she was being towed to drydock.
Many ex HMS Conway lads will comment on her demise, some may have witnessed her grounding as it happened.
