Hi Ed, nice photos you're posting here. Can you possibly put a date, even approximate, to them as this helps with identification and err, if possible make them a bit larger too please??(Thumb)
Seems to me she was built by I.H.I., Japan in 1965 as 'Benedict' for Liberian owners but looking at the funnel on this photo:-

makes me think she was Greek.
Full details here:-

Benedict Shipping Corp of Monrovia was the owner of this tanker when it bore the names BENEDICT, SPLENDID ARROW and ANGEL, suggesting that the names were changed with the charterers.
In my 1982 edition of Lloyd’s Confidential Index ANGEL is shown as being owned by Benedict (Liberia), Managed by Acomarit Services Marine SA, of Geneva, Switzerland and is entered under the heading of Achille Lauro Fu Giaocchino & C (yes, THAT Achille Lauro) of Naples Italy.
Later in 1982 she became ELEFTHERIA M under Liberian-flag ownership of Ocean Resolve Inc and the management of Styga Compania Naviera SA, of Athens, Greece, which is associated with Mamitank Shipping Enterprises (K & N Mamidakis), also Athens-based.
It was under that guise and ownership that she went to breakers in Barcelona in July, 1985, following a fire at Porto Marghera, Italy on 31st March, 1985
