Aotea strike-bound at Wellington 1981. National strike in NZ at the time and Aotea had Kiwi crew. Deck and Engine crew were asked before berthing whether they would strike or not. They said "no Strike". Forgot to ask Galley staff, who promptly downed tools when we got alongside. Crew not being fed - dockers not working ship. Cosy arrangement really.
