ARCADIAN

ARCADIAN

Ellerman Lines' ARCADIAN was photographed at Avonmouth by the late Richard Parsons, possibly in March 1967. ARCADIAN was renamed CITY OF FAMAGUSTA in 1974 before being sold in 1977 to Beirut operators T.Gargour et Fils who traded her as BATROUN until selling her to Pakistan breakers. She arrived at Gadani Beach on 18/12/86.

Hi Cranfield? Just viewing your slides of 'Arcadian' by the late Richard Parsons and was surprised to see that I was actually on her at the time. I did three voyages on her from Jan 67- June 67 as EDH. Master was R Jones, Mate was a Polishman? She was without doubt one of the happiest vessels I had the good fortune to sail on.
Best Wishes James A Stuart (Tony) Ex Scouser from Waterloo

Fine looking ship. I have walked past that building (SPILLERS) many a time with all the fine gals waving to us from the windows.
