Ardmore PD107

Ardmore lying in lossie in the early nineties, not sure where it went from here, but it wasn't fishing at the time.

not much idea of its history blues, other than i believe it had a lossie connection earlier in its life. i notice ally posted a pic of it in the crinnan with the girl may, the 2 boats turned up in lossie at the same time.

Not the Rosebloom either Davie, she was 72ft. She was if not sister to, then very similar to the 1st Ajax INS 168.

This boat here does look like the Rosebloom and I have a vague memory of her being called Ardmore when Tom Ross sold her to the Mate when he built the Golden Splendour to replace her.

Other Herdies boats like this in the 65 - 72ft range of which I can remember were the. Rosemount, Rosemary, Strathyre, Ben Loyal, Honestas, Argosy, Caledonia, Covesea, Ajax.

No Wully, it was the same one and that was the end of her. Billy Fraser had her at the time. She ran aground either going into or leaving Hvide Sande in Denmark and sank sometime in the 80's I believe. He got the Victory and then the Rymaralee after that and I think someone on here said he takes the Maranatha away now.
