I'm sure I was at college with Nigel Seymour at South Shields in 1977 and 1980; he worked for CP Ships- is that right?

Hi Stevie,
Think it must have been a different Nigel Seymour. Big lad from Sheffield, supported Sheffield Wednesday. He was a deck cadet with P&O when I knew him, and I think he didn't go to sea until 1978. Not sure what college he went to.

The radio officer is Tim Searle. He is still at sea as a ETO on container ships with Blue Star ( an off shoot of P&O Containers that became P&O Nedlloyd and now part of Maersk.)
I remember that day. I was duty officer on board in dry dock and you all came back with printed tee shirts "Ardmore Mexican cruising 1980" but didn't get me one...I was gutted, so I had to get mine done the next day!
