Unless there is a member of SN among the crew, your guess is as good as any and better than many.
I dont see any crew on the yards, yet the sails on the fore-mast appear to be in the act of furling, each sail at a different stage, do they have "auto-furling" sails these days?

I notice that the vessel on the horizon is also without square sails, perhaps they are working on a training exercise together.

I guess they are putting her on the other tack under engines and don't want the square sails aback.

Passed these two whilst heading North up the Brazilian coast in late January, these ships were heading South.
