Arromanches France 6th June

Need a harbor, haven't got one, no problem, make one in England, tow it across the channel. This concrete pier, one of many that made up the harbor, is still on the beach. We must never forget the people who had the skill and imagination to do these things.

Yes, the remaining wrecks of the Mulberry Harbour are actually Memorials to the fallen in their own way.

Kind Regards

Hi Ozzie. I'm 67 years old and have never been in a world war, except for the war department I go to bed with every night. My interest in the stupidity of war was born many years ago on my grandfathers knee. He was a gunner in the first war on the Somme and on the telling the dreadful conditions he suffered didn't upset me too much as I was 10, but it did register in the back of my mind. It was only years later and I found a book he had given me those years before " All quiet on the western front" Reading that book changed everything, I then knew that the people who run the world are indeed mad, then and now.
