The title could also apply to The Larrinaga SS Co. of Liverpool who had their origins in the Basque region.

Nice job! Good to see you far from home.

Was the ship a 'trading' ship or was she just a cadet ship?

Artagan- Mendi, like we know, she was a good ship, well done Roberto.
I've been on board as "Monte Nuria".

Great painting Roberto. Training ships rarely receive any recognition and it's good to see one get its due.

Nice to see this painting Roberto.
An incredibly long career of this ship. From 1909 to 1973.

Have another information about the story of this ship.
Built in 1909 by William Graye in West Hartlepool, ordered by Sota y Aznar.
Her first name was Eretza-Mendi and replaced to Ama Begoñakoa as school vessel, being on 1917 replaced by the Artagan-Mendi, later renamed as Monte Nuria.
With her drawings were built by Euskalduna in Bilbao two sister ships: Gorbea-Mendi and Umbe-Mendi.

Thanks for sharing.
