This is probably Stirling or Athlone Castle. Once widely accepted as two of the most handsome motor liners ever built. Built 1936 and I think withdrawn in 1965?

Could be Athlone, Stirling or Capetown Castle, Very difficult to tell them apart.
The first two were 25,000grt, Capetown was slightly larger at 27.000grt. and
there was a slight difference in the windows under the bridge

Take a look at this Ray Woodward post of Capetown Castle. She does not have as many windows lower down in the forward facing superstructure. Athlone and Stirling appear to have an open lower promenade deck. It must be Athlone or Stirling : -

Athlone she is - only Stirling and Athlone had an open A Deck below the Promenade Deck and a rounded front to those decks. CapeTown was enclosed on A Deck and the main reason for her increased tonnage.
I say Athlone because in photos of Stirling you will note a more prominent Monkey Island, with a clear teak rail. This photo seems sharp enough to not show those features.
BTW both ships finished their mail runs in August 1965 when the schedule was sped up to 11 and a half days, at 22.5 knots - they could only just manage the old time of fourteen days at 18.5 knots average. When built, they were super fast for the then seventeen day voyage.
They were beautiful vessels and had wide expanses of inlaid teak veneered panelling in the public spaces. I loved my time on Stirling Castle, right up to her last mail run.
