Auckland wharves

All berths are occupied in this aerial view of the Auckland wharves, 12 December 1957.
The cutting identifies the Port Wyndham and Wanganella at Princes wharf (front) and next on Queens wharf the Dominion Monarch.
The other eleven vessels are not identified.

Tony: Looks awful like either the Ceramic or Gothic on the other side of the Dominion Monarch's wharf. I can just see the overhang where the Radio Room was, at the rear of no.3 hatch. John L.

Rangitata or Rangitiki on the other side of the wharf from the DM, the Gothic or Ceramic with an East Asiatic B class on the other side of the wharf, possibly the Boma which was in NZ in 1957, the coaster above the Rangi's funnels is the Parera, further across is the Port Hobart and the other Port ship looks like Port Lincoln.

That could be the tug WC Daldy adjacent to D.Ms stern. What a change from todays scene.
