Australind (V) SD14

I can remember her pogress from being laid down to leaving on trials, it looks like she's leaving Hamburg and passing the Hotel Weisse where we stayed a couple of years ago, excellent view of the Elbe especially for ship lovers, the private house on the right has it own naval museum in the garden with a complete torpedo boat and various large guns, sadly it is not open to the public, it can be seen from Google Earth.(EEK)

I confirm that AUSTRALIND was photographed in the River Elbe, on 10th June 1980, during a heavy rain shower - my good friend Gerhard Fiebiger had driven me round the port to that location in order to photograph her
