Purvis Shipping Co Avisfaith inward bound on The Thames at Tilbury in February 1965. Built by Bartram & Sons in Sunderland 1962 she was a good looking vessel of 7,868 gr tons.
This ship had a rather unusual history. She was sold in 1971 and sailed for 6 years under the Greek flag as ALEXANDROS B. Somewhat surprisingly she was then bought by the Anchor Line in 1977 and returned to the British flag as the EGIDIA. They only kept her for 4 years after which she was sold to become in 81 SEA VICTORY then 81 SOUTHDENE and 84 ASTHER before being broken up in San Esteban de Pravia in 1.85
