Much talk of the AOs being changed for SW TM 410s, however the Haglund water cooled electro hydraulic cranes were a work up too, as were the Ruston generators, the air compressors blah blah blah.....

A lot of people would prefer to forget them. She was built in Haugesund in 1970, re-engined Amsterdam (Stork-Werkspoors) and scrapped in Pusan in 1986 as HAEYUNG EASTERN (Korean flag).

She caused a flurry of interest in Ardrossan, South Australia, when she loaded grain there - being Baron Ardrossan, registered in Ardrossan, Scotland, and loading in Ardrossan, South Australia.

Joined her at Ube in Japan. She had Chinese crew on board. The Chinese cook on that trip was absolutely fantastic. One of the best Christmas meals I ever experienced at sea.
The accomodation on board this class of vessel was fantastic. Majority of cabins faces for'd. They had a fantastic turning circle..felt almost like I imagine a destroyer would when the wheel was put hard over.
I beleive, as trotterdotpom mentioned, that the vessels picture was on local packaging for bread after her visit to Ardrossan (South Ausie).
Nice ship, great crew, great company.
