If memory serves me right I beleive that her deck cargo was English Electric 'Vulcan' engines destined for East Africa.
I sailed with Harrisons in the sixties & the runs we did to E African we carried lots of trains as deck cargo.

I sailed with harrisons 1956 to 1960 and we were taking trains out to east africa then as deck cargo on the m.v. journalist.I cant remember were we off loaded them,probably Mombasa or Dares salaam

I was with Harrisons in the 50's & 60's.
I wonder if we have any shipmates in common?.

Sailed on \'Barrister\' 29/02/60--26/03/60 & 02/06/60--31/07/60.JOS at the time.
Not to sure but in between these two trips wasn\'t there a Seamans Strike!!
A lot of water under the bridge since & names have long since evapoated,Lofty.
But do recall an AB name of Lofty Renwick.
