My Father Left the Duchess of Richmondon, 19/5/46. In Glasgow. Where she was re-fitted back to a passenger ship, Empress of Canada. He joined the Beaverglen 23/5/46. He stayed on her untill the canada was ready. He then went back on her.

A good strong purposefull looking ship which I believe had a strengthend bow for ice.
I did two voyages in her as an S.O.S. one from the 17 June 1959 to 16 July 1959 and another from the 22 July to 22 August 1959.
I also did two voyages in her sister ship the BEAVER GLEN one from the 9 September 1959 to 5 October 1959 and the other from the 14 October 1959 to the 11 November 1959.
I have photo`s of both of these vessels.
