Sailed on her last three trips in 1962 before being sold, then joined her replacement MV Beaverpine for her trials and first three trips.

jordiboy, we must have been one the same trip! I joined her on the 2nd april 1962, in victoria dock, paid off 9 may , in victoria dock, [j.o.s.] I remember on the way back to the u.k. we hit a freak wave, that tossed us out of are bunks. and stopped the ship dead in the water, she also had a gun platform on the poop deck,[ long removed] and gunners accommodation below the crews, we had to get the food in billy cans. from midships, and take it aft, not very nice in a force 9 gale!
