Type IV was perhaps better known as the Frieden type? There were 15 in all, and for some reason also known as "Brotschiffe," bread ships, to the East Germans.
The Frieden, first of the class, is now a museum ship in Rostock. She was laid up after only 11 years, partly due to engine problems, but the Berlin lasted from 1958 to 1980.
